IPL Points Table 2009

Watch Live IPL T20 Cricket Online Help

The options just discussed require you to have a television and satellite dish installed on the rooftop of your home. What if you want to watch the IPL cricket matches on your computer via streaming Internet video?

In the first IPL series that was held in India, all the cricket matches were being streamed live on the Internet via
iplt20.com - the official website of the Indian Premier League - so anyone could watch the cricket matches online for free.

However, it’s now know if IPLT20.com will offer the same facility for IPL Season 2 as well - they haven’t announced anything officially yet.

This time around, DLF IPL has created an official YouTube video channel at
youtube.com/ipl where they would be posting all the match highlight videos, opening ceremony, award functions, etc. but IPL won’t be streaming live matches on YouTube though Google has the technology for that.

Some news channels in India like
NDTV and CNN IBN provide live TV on their websites and though they won’t be broadcasting full IPL matches, these are good places to watch match highlights, live cricket scores and commentary.

Now if you like to watch full IPL matches live on the web, the best option is
willow.tv - they have the rights to distribute IPL matches on television, radio, broadband and Internet in all of North America.

The Willow TV website has been providing live streaming video on the Internet of all major cricket series since 2003 worldwide (using
Akamai) and you will also have the option to watch IPL 2009 matches in high quality with on-demand highlights.

They haven’t announced the subscription charges for IPL Season 2 yet but for IPL 2008, Willow TV offered live web streaming, match replays, video scorecards and ball-by-ball commentary of all 59 IPL Twenty20 games for $59. I am expecting the price to be same (or lower) this year. If you a VGA extension cable,
connect laptop to TV and watch the IPL on your widescreen Television.

Willow TV has a partnership with Reliance so may can get free access to IPL cricket matches if you buy a Reliance Global Calling card or subscribe to BigFlix DVD rental services - exact details aren’t available yet.

Now if you are not looking to spend money, ask your wife at home or relative in India to turn on SET Max TV and point your computer webcam towards the TV. Now stream that live cricket feed from the home computer to your office via ustream. I am not aware of the legal angle here but you may also use a TV tuner card at home computer for extra clarity.

The official teams for IPL 2009 include Bangalore Royal Challengers, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, Delhi Daredevils, Kings XI Punjab, Chennai Super Kings, Deccan Chargers and Rajasthan Royals.
